Given the current optimism with Houdini and the necessary transition from Softimage artists and to a different 3D application I have been embarking on demistifying a few things about Houdini and the wonderful guys from CICE and specially Miguel Gomez did consider publishing this interview on the subject. I hope you like it, it is only in Spanish but I am certain the Google translator will do a decent job. Interview CICE
This edition of Mundos Digitales has been specially incredible, not only the speaker line up was fantastic, the material shown gets better and better every year, but also had the number of reasons to feel this was the best edition I have been.
After Autodesk decision to abandon Softimage I took upon myself to use my little spare time to help the community to transition to what I believe is the best tool for any FXTD and CG artist. Given its steep learning curve I though it would be great to try to compare Softimage to Houdini from an artistic point of view and skill all the very technical details for those who are interested. For the past eleven years I have been lucky enough to be at the right time in the right place and with the help of very talented people we managed to produce some truly amazing work, I feel fortunate enough to have built my career in a time in which the craft was more valuable than ever, but even more important has been the role of certain tools that enabled us to produce that work.

Enjoy

What a discovery today when reading smoking apples article on Pear Notes, a note taking application for OSX that will rock your world.
Seems finally I have managed to put together the images for the old portfolio and the only thing missing is to add the very latest jobs and old jobs I never had the time to find all the stuff so stay tuned for the next days as I am close to finishing the redesign. Thanks for the patience.
