KFF Street Urban

A tale of beauty we had the luck to work for where dancing crowds move as a cellular system depicting how AIDS could move and how the knowledge is also moving.

This is one of those jobs where the script and treatment make you wonder if this would ever going to work, a humbling experience to realise a director has a vision you don’t yet see but you have to trust them and by the end you are totally in love with the job.

Still

A job of sensibility and very complex choreography so I took the decision to try to delay the motion capture shoot to after the actual shoot so I know what to capture as I expected one thing yet knew would be totally different from what they have explored.

Still

This was true and the plan is to deal with 8 different moves and all variations, transitions, accents and what not but around those key moves, for example one was called the flower, another the flamingo and so on and so for.

Still

The triggering of those moves was what was giving the impression of changes and transmission of information (genetic code).

Still

And if you look carefully you will realise all the layout and animation is actually copies of body cell structures and how they move.

Massive was used for the job and we managed to setup this very complex system so the directors could actually drive the action as they wanted.
