A beautifully purposeful brief — a film about the quiet, essential role oil-based products play in modern healthcare, and the complex dependency we're navigating while the world waits for alternatives.

Working with the team at Myriad Global Media, we combined traditional motion control passes, Flame compositing, and CGI to bring it to life.

The central challenge was building up the environment in layers — ensuring that reflections, shadows, contact points, and colour bleed all held together as a coherent whole. Crucially, as the CGI lights switch on and off throughout the sequence, everything in the environment responds accordingly. Nothing exists in isolation.

The old approach to this kind of work — building in layers within a frame and compositing through — has its limits, and audiences feel it even if they can't name it. Expectations around integration have moved considerably, and flat layering simply doesn't hold up to modern scrutiny. So we invested heavily in the CGI side to sell the effect properly: full environmental interaction, not the illusion of it.
