We have been very selective in the kind of projects we want to be involved in from the very beginning. We then found ourselves in front of an incredible opportunity to be part of a truly bold statement from one of the best brands in the world, an honest call for change on their latest global campaign. Irresistible!

In the middle of the covid campaign we found ourselves supervising various shoot across the world by using our large network of artists that proved critical, from Los Angeles and San Francisco to Manchester and Bali, the production managed to stay true to the planning and the core idea of the campaign making it a showcase of sustainability, in part due to Covid, in part due to the bold creative and direction.

The challenges were many, from having access to a footballer in Manchester while on full lockdown to filming by the beach in Bali and building a sophisticated shot in San Francisco, but all went very smoothly as we redoubled our efforts to get it done correctly in the time given.

Fortunately, we were fully ready for everything since our infrastructure was designed exactly for these complex and worldwide scenarios with distributed servers and partners across the globe.

The project was filmed with a mix of cameras, from 8mm and 16mm to Alexa Mini, and as such, a proper colour pipeline and data management were fundamental.

The VFX were many, from smoke and crowds for the LA shoot to compositing Markus on a school and creating a digital version of an ocean and the garbage we humans produce daily and seem to be oblivious to for the most part.

We are grateful to have been part of such a positive project, helping our friends at Stink Films, led by director Leo Aguirre, AKQA San Francisco, and Levi’s, to bring this project to life in the middle of Covid19.

It was a true pleasure to start our journey with a project such as this.
